Matt founded Signet Screening in 2011 with a straightforward mission: give HR professionals and business owners access to fast, accurate background screening without the complexity, long contracts, or impersonal service that defined the industry at the time. Drawing on two decades of experience in sales, operations, and client service, he built Signet from the ground up into a trusted screening partner for organizations across the country. Matt is closely involved in the business, working directly with clients, staying ahead of compliance changes, and making sure Signet continues to deliver the responsiveness and accuracy that larger firms struggle to match. He's based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and when he's not talking background checks, you'll find him out on his motorcycle or keeping up with his chocolate lab, George.
As Director of Operations, Jill is the engine that keeps Signet running smoothly. She oversees the day-to-day screening process, ensuring client orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on time. Jill brings nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry, where she built deep expertise in client service, compliance, and operational detail, skills that translate directly to the precision required in background screening. Her clients know they can count on her to be thorough, responsive, and genuinely invested in getting it right. Outside of work, Jill is happily married with two kids, active in her church and community, and has a passion for interior decorating.
Jeni, Signet's Client Support Manager, brings a sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for client relationships to every interaction. She guides new clients through onboarding and sees that the screening process runs smoothly from start to finish, keeping communication clear and timelines on track. With a background in high-volume, client-facing environments, her organizational and interpersonal skills make Jeni a trusted partner to the clients Signet serves. Outside of work, Jeni is a Cincinnati native, a proud mom of three, and can usually be found cheering on her kids or planning the next family adventure.
Lyn is a key member of Signet's client support team, specializing in employment verifications and ensuring every background check order is completed accurately and on time. She takes pride in prompt communication and keeping clients informed at every step, because in hiring, speed and accuracy both matter. Lyn brings a background in administration and client coordination, and a work ethic that shows in her turnaround times and attention to detail. Outside of the office, she's a proud mom of three girls and can usually be found at a concert or cheering on her kids.
