Matt Messersmith
President/CEO

During Matt’s 20 years of extensive business experience, he gained leadership and expertise in:

  • Budgeting
  • Procurement
  • Computer technology

Matt recognized an opportunity to use his accumulated talents to help HR professionals improve the effectiveness of their hiring decisions with timely, accurate pre-employment screening. Establishing Signet Screening in 2011,  he partnered with the nation’s leading resources in employment screening, aptitude testing and online references to provide comprehensive services to clients nationwide. Matt is committed to friendly customer service, pinpoint accuracy, a strong sense of urgency and competitive pricing.

Matt, a West Chester resident, volunteers at Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School as a youth basketball coach. He also helps students at Life Learning Center in Northern Kentucky with resume advice and career guidance. Matt enjoys motorcycling and various outdoor activities in his free time.

Jill Hilvert
Director of Operations

Jill works with Signet clients fulfilling their requests for pre-employment data promptly. She acquired leadership experience, customer service and computer skills during her 19 years in the insurance industry. Beginning her career as a receptionist, Jill quickly progressed to working in claims. She later become a life/health agent and also handled various product support roles.

She applies the same attention to detail, dedication to customer satisfaction and computer savvy to ensure the complete satisfaction of Signet’s clients.

Jill is happily married, has two beautiful children and loves being involved in their busy lives. In her spare time, she is a church and community volunteer and has a passion for interior decorating.

Jeni Renneker
Client Support Manager

Jeni is our customer service extraordinaire. In her role, she makes sure that all clients receive exceptional service throughout the onboarding and candidate screening process.

Attention to detail and effective communication are in Jeni’s DNA. Born in Cincinnati, she’s worked in variety of retail merchandising positions, including recent stints at DAVACO and SpinMaster. Drawn to Signet’s reputation for outstanding service, she likes to develop one-on-one partnerships with her clients and deliver above and beyond expectations.

Jeni is married and the mother of three children. In her free time, you can find her at all her children’s activities. She also likes to travel, read, exercise and spend time with family and friends.

Lyn Prince
Customer Support Specialist

Lyn provides customer service to our clients, as well as specializes in verifications and ensuring our client’s background check orders are complete.
Originally from upstate New York, Lyn moved to Cincinnati 17 years ago from Knoxville, Tennessee. Before transitioning to the customer service sphere, she worked for The Berry Company in Rochester, New York as an administrative assistant and event coordinator. She then took a break after the birth of her first child and returned to the workforce in 2017 as an educational aide and substitute teacher.
Lyn strives to always provide stellar service and prompt communication with her clients to ensure fast turnaround times and accurate information.
Outside of the office, Lyn is married and an active mom of three girls. She enjoys spending time with her family, working out and attending concerts.
